One week to go!

With only a week to go the excitement continues to build! We have a remarkable group that will be traveling together that in so many ways represents our community perfectly. The trip will be a true adventure!

Participants on the trip have recieved an email with our group cellphone number so that family and friends may be in touch if needed. During the trip we hope that the updates on this website will keep everyone posted on our progress as we celebrate Israel's 60th Anniversary. In looking at the itenerary I believe we've put together a trip that combines many facets of Israel in a way that celebrates this special year.

A special note to family and friends: We will be visiting with a group of High School students who will be in their last semester before departing for the army. Because these students come from modest homes without many resources we're hoping to bring a small gift of a toiletry kit that they will need for their army service. If you would like to help sponsor one of these kits (each kit is $20) please send a check to Congregation B'nai Israel marked "Gifts to Israeli students" in the memo section. We believe this will be a meaningful way to have a personal touch of our community in Israel.

Preparing for the Trip

The days are drawing closer and the excitement is in the air! What a great group we have and I'm so proud and pleased to be able to celebrate Israel's 60th in this special way!
